We are located in Jackson, Ohio. We are approximately an hour and 45 min from John Glenn International Airport in Columbus, Ohio and two hours from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are also located near Huntington Tri-State Airport in Huntington, West Virginia.
All of our adult Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are genetically tested and cleared of DE/CC (Dry Eye/Curly Coat Syndrome) & EFS (Episodic Falling Syndrome). These are two breed specific conditions. Since our dogs are genetically cleared of these conditions, all of our puppies will be clear of them as well. We also OFA certify for Heart, Patellas and Eyes to ensure the health of our dogs.
All of our puppies will go home up-to-date on current vaccinations, deworming medications completed as recommended, vet checks completed and results communicated to the new family, and microchipped (optional). All of our puppies are AKC registered with limited registration (pet registration). We are open to discussing full registration/breeding & showing rights on a case by case basis.
Our cavaliers are a part of our family so they live in our home, of course! They snuggle on the couch, stand under my feet while I cook dinner, and go to the school drop off line as much as they want. Cavaliers are meant to be spoiled, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Our puppies are a huge part of our life, and they are born and raised right in our home with us and our four young children. They are very hands on and involved in every aspect of puppy welping and raising our puppies with love, affection, and as much attention as possible in order to create a healthy, well-socialized, and happy puppy to add joy to your family for many years to come.
We accept deposits to be added to our wait list with your preference of gender/color and timeframe after a phone conversation has been completed and all questions have been answered and accepted by both parties. You do have the option to "pass" on a litter and if you choose to do so then you will remain on the list in your spot for the next litter. This deposit is in the amount of $200 and is non-refundable. The remainder of the "deposit" (an additional payment to total 10% of your puppy cost) to reserve a puppy will be due after birth when you choose the puppy that will join your family.
Once you have been approved, and you have made the decision that an EAP puppy is the puppy for you then you will reserve your puppy by paying a deposit totaling 10% of your puppy's total cost.
Unfortunately, this is something that breeders and prospective buyers have strong opinions on and it can go either way. However, the safety of our puppies is our highest priority so we do not allow anyone in our home to visit with the puppies. This is something that we hold in high regards and we respect the fact that our puppies are chosen and loved from an early time in their life and their new families expect us to care for them and protect them at all costs. This includes not exposing them to any harmful viruses or bacterial infections that can be avoided even when it is unintentional.
With this being said, there are other options that we are happy to participate in including Facetiming with our puppies and their parents to see their personalities, where they live, and how they interact with us in the safety of their home.
Deposits are paid via Paypal or Venmo in the amount of 10% of the total cost, which is deducted from the remaining balance due. Balances are due within 24 hours of a completed and approved vet check by the buyer if the puppy is flying via our flight nanny and can be paid with any of these methods. If we are meeting you in person for puppy pickup then we require the balance to be paid in cash on the day of pickup once you meet your new puppy.
Deposits are refundable under circumstances that are out of the buyer's control. For example, if something were to be unsatisfactory on a puppy vet check then we would gladly refund a deposit. Otherwise, deposits are non-refundable as this deposit reserves a spot that could have been chosen by another family for the duration that you held it.
It is very important for a puppy to be well adapted and socialized, but there is also a certain point in time that makes the bonding experience between the puppy and his/her new family a more enjoyable experience and creates a lasting impression. This timing can vary but is usually between 8-10 weeks of age and can depend on many factors.
We offer in person pickup as well as the ability to fly our puppies anywhere in the United States via our trusted flight nanny, Sandy. We also have a fantastic delivery nanny, who is one of my personal RN's at my clinic. Both have worked with us for quite a while and have delivered many puppies for us, and we wouldn't trust anyone else. They are amazing. Although flying is a great option for those going out of state, we really prefer to meet the new families in person when possible.
